Any speculation that one of the new signings this summer could be the Egyptian striker Mohamed Salah, may be about to suffer a huge blow.

With the Real Madrid hierarchy looking to improve the squad with something akin to a squad makeover, the twenty-five-year-old striker would have been an ideal purchase.

However, it seems that Liverpool are only too aware of the huge asset they have on their hands.

According to the popular weekend red-top publication, The Sunday Mirror, Salah is ready to turn his back on any approach from Real Madrid.

Perhaps the fact that Liverpool are preparing to offer the forward a new deal, said to be worth £200,000 a week might have something to do with his apparent show of loyalty.

If our source has its information correct, then Real Madrid may very well have to revisit their plans for this summer when it comes to rejuvenating their strike-force.
