The last couple of years have seen Real Madrid linked, incessantly, with a move for a new goalkeeper.

One name, that of David de Gea, has featured prominently, whilst another, that of Thibaut Courtois has also featured.

But, Manchester United seem very reticent to even talk about a deal that would see De Gea make the move to the Bernabeu from Old Trafford whilst anybody who watched Courtois nightmare display against Barcelona in midweek might not be too happy to see the club spend big-money on the Belgian international.

To that effect, one media source, the Express, is championing the suggestion that Real Madrid have turned their attentions to another keeper.

The keeper in question is the Roma goalkeeper, Alisson, who has been linked with a move to the Premier League side, Liverpool.

However, our source is suggesting that the 25-year-old has no inclination to move to Liverpool and has instead, set his heart on a switch to Real Madrid.

Could our long search for a keeper be about to come to a successful end!
